Why choose Big Beat Music Studio for your lessons?

No other music school offers what Big Beat does! Joe Nevolo started Big Beat Music Studio in 1983 when his passion for teaching equaled his passion for performance.  Since then thousands of students have reached their musical goals and become part of the Big Beat family.

Joe and his music school were the focus of international interest when he created an innovative system of instructing students with learning disabilities.

What can I expect to learn from my lessons?

The teacher will evaluate your skill level and go from there. Since we teach all levels from beginner to advanced, depending on the your current skills, you may be working on the fundamentals, bowing techniques, hand placement, head and chin position, violin tuning, theory and note reading, vibrato and a host of other techniques to help you reach your goals.

You will also learn to play some of your favorite songs, putting the lessons into action.

What if I do not have an instrument at home?

Not to worry, Big Beat has a rental program that is very cost effective for most instruments.  Once you know which instrument is right for you, there is also the option to purchase the instrument you are renting with the rent to own special.

Will the students be doing any performances?

Yes, they do! Each year Big Beat organizes a student showcase where they can walk the red carpet and perform on a professional stage. This exciting event gives the students a chance to show their family and friends what they have been working on. The student can also participate in other events held throughout the year.

What style of music will I be learning?

During your private lesson, your instructor will discuss this with you to find something that is fun to learn! As always, our students are here, whether in the studio or virtually, to have fun and receive the lifelong gift of learning an instrument.
